What should you not use as a PIN number?

The Self-Select PIN Method ( Personal Identification Number ) is one option for taxpayers to use when signing their electronic Form 1040 and Form 4868 The PIN is any five numbers (except all zeros) the taxpayer chooses to enter as their electronic signature.
The process is simple:
1. The taxpayer enters their PIN on the electronic Form 1040 or Form 4868.
2. The electronic form is filed with the IRS.
The taxpayer’s PIN acts as their electronic signature on the Form 1040 or Form 4868, and the form is accepted by the IRS as if it was signed with a physical signature.
There are many benefits to using a PIN to sign your electronic tax forms, including convenience, speed, and security. This method is particularly helpful for taxpayers who are not able to sign a physical copy of their tax return.
