How do I delete my GCKey account?

This is to inform you that Canadian immigration law does not allow you to have more than one profile at a time. The IRCC website says having more than one profile will not give you a better chance at being invited, nor allow you to be invited under another program.

If your GCKey has been revoked, you will need to register for a new GCKey.
Can my IRCC account expire?
If your profile expires, it will be removed from the system. You will get a message in your account telling you that your profile has expired. You can still create a new profile, but you will need to submit all of the required information again.
If you want to change something on your Express Entry profile, you can do so by clicking on the “Update form” button on the “Express Entry profile” page. You can access this page by clicking on the “View your profile” link on the “Express Entry profile status” page.
Can I change the name in my IRCC account
You will need to provide a statutory declaration in addition to your completed application for a new or replacement document in order to grant a change of name. The statutory declaration must be administered and signed by a notary public or a commissioner of oaths.
If you need to contact the IRCC Call Centre, be aware that you may have to wait on hold for some time. The best times to call are early in the morning or during non-peak hours. You may also want to use a speakerphone to free up your hands.

We do not recommend having multiple GCKeys to access Government of Canada services as it can lead to confusion and cause problems with your account.
If you have lost your email, you will need to create a new GCKey in order to access an application. Once you have created a new GCKey, you can then link the application to your new account.
How do I link two IRCC accounts?
If you would like to check the status of your application, you will need to link it to your online account. To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Sign into your online account or create a new one.
2. In your account, under “View the applications you submitted”, click on “Add (link) your application to your account to check your status”
3. Enter the information exactly as you did on your original application.
By following these steps, you will be able to view the status of your application and track any updates.
There are a few reasons for this. First, the GCKey system allows applicants to upload all their supporting documents at once. This makes it much easier for staff to review an application and make a decision. Second, the GCKey system flags applicants who have already applied for an eTA, so staff can prioritize those applications. Finally, the GCKey system sends automated reminders to applicants if their application is taking longer than expected.
How long does GCKey account last
If your GCKey expires, you will need to register for a new one. You will also need to re-register with any online service you were previously using to access the Victims Portal.
