As I can understand short keywords are much more effective than keywords which consist of the whole phrases. Am I right?

Short keywords are usually way too broad. If you really want to target a niche you have to go with “long tail keywords” – a phrase of a minimum of three words.

Long tail keywords are highly focused. As an example, the phrase ‘lose weight before my wedding’ will bring you buyers that are much more targeted than those that search on just ‘weight loss’.

Clever researching to find a few great long tail keywords will reward you way better than trying to compete with major marketers targeting single word phrases.

It is necessary to analyze the competition of each keyword. To do this you need to paste your keyword into request field and see how many results were found.
