I guess the most important point is having reliable hosting. Once we also had our site hacked – we had little pleasant in it. So we moved our site to another hosting provider and – fortunately, no problems since that time.

I’ve never had this issue myself, but lately I’ve seen a lot of sites that have been hacked, and which promoted extreme religious beliefs. Another threat, apart from protecting your site, is protecting yourself from duplicate sites, for example fake sites of banks.

well this issue i see by using untrusted domain and placing codes in return of traffic by some unknown people on web. well placing tracking code of unauthorized sites will lead to hacking your website.

Security and reliability of your sites and the information there is probably the biggest issue for all web developers – how to protect the site from hacking. But undortunately people who hack sites are also professionals. I’s compare them with viruses and antiviruses, that latter are always behind.

There were really instances that there are sites that had been hacked by some unknown people. Maybe one of the reason is lack of security features of their site. Also, choosing a right web hosting service is also matters cause sometimes there are some web hosting services that also offer their service to some hackers which eventually can cause an easy access to some of this hacker site. Thanks for this post. This is a great article and have a nice day!

I had my site hacked and all the data deleted because of cheap hosting. Be careful when choosing the hosting for your site.

Many people throw their sites hosting solution cheapest and easiest possible. That’s fine at first, until hacked. Make sure you use a reputable company housing, and stay away from shared hosting, if you have a great website or blog.

I would think about having a difficult password and encoding the data I transmit and download on the server. moreover, I never use my admin panel on public computers.
November 27th, 2010 at 12:49 pm
It is always one of your top priorities to make your site secure from any malicious attacks and hacking. I think if you own a site, a blog or anything, you don’t just think about the design, content or traffic but also how to protect your site and make it trustworthy to online visitors. Probably you can avoid having our site hacked if you make sure your anti-virus software is updated, make sure you have checked and validated all inputs to your site and make it a habit to have long passwords and make sure they are alphanumeric.

Prevent an issue before it happens! Data security is crucial, especially for retailers. The best thing a company can do is find reliable hosting.

Just happened to me yesterday. One of my WordPress sites was hacked – no idea how it happened. Site is still down as my hosting company is trying to restore it from backup. Definitely a lesson to learn – BACK UP YOUR DATA!
